Chemical wash Sengkang
A chemical wash in Sengkang treats the fan coil in place with a chemical solution to shift fouling that plain water will not, then flushes the drainage line. The unit stays mounted on the wall.
Why this is different here
Sengkang's first public flats at Rivervale were completed in 1997. Blocks of that generation were designed with aircon ledges and concealed drainage from the start, so the usual fault is not drainage geometry but fan-coil fouling and condensate tray build-up.
What actually happens
- Fan coil, blower wheel and condensate tray are cleaned, which is where fouling starts in newer units.
- Drainage is checked but is rarely the root cause in blocks built with concealed piping.
- Filters are washed and dried before refitting; a damp filter puts moisture straight back into the unit.
